Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi established in 1990 in the memory of Late Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, a thinker, philosopher and renowned Social worker. It is a multi-faculty co-educational college having at present approximately 1500 students on its roles in various courses. Apart from focusing on academics, where the college has consistently progressed, specially over the last one decade, when the Pass percentage rose from 80% to 95% and the students passing in first division rose from 13% to 40%, the college focuses on providing each student an opportunity to explore his/her potential and interests. The students are given opportunities to organize lots of activities such as Dramatics, Debates, Music and Dance competitions. We also sensitize them towards the plight of the under-privileged and environment through the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Eco-Club. Interest in Indian Cultural Heritage is created through the Spic-Macay. Activities of the different Subject Societies provide them an opportunity to go beyond the curricula. Sports inculcates team spirit.
Our ultimate focus at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College is to create confident, dedicated, honest and upright individuals who shall be asset to the Society.
