A two-year programme leading to the Master’s degree in Commerce (M Com) is offered with specialization in areas of finance & law. From the academic session 2007-08, all admissions to M Com under general and reserved category will be made through entrance test only. The Arts Faculty, North Campus will administer the Entrance Test centrally. The test will be conducted in the end of June 2009.
The M Phil programme in Commerce includes courses in finance, corporate governance, economics, accounting, HRD, international business, organizational behaviour and development. The Department has also been supervising research leading to Ph D degree in the areas on corporate governance, international business, marketing, organizational analysis, finance, taxation, strategic management, entrepreneurship and economics.
The process of selection for M Phil/Ph D is centralised at the Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics. Candidates who are selected have the option of choosing supervisors for M Phil/Ph D from the Faculty of South Campus, as well. Such candidates will be entitled to facilities at both Campuses.
It is possible that some or all the teaching with respect to this Department may take place in the North Campus.
